1st Grade's Patterns Expedition

First grade's science-focused expedition was called "Patterns All Around Us." The students kicked off their expedition by tracking the weather everyday and highlighting the patterns that emerged. This led into an investigation focused on apple trees and how the seasons impacted their growth. Finally, the students studied an owl from each continent and compared and contrasted their basic needs. The students' final product was calendar that highlighted the research of each owl, continent and patterns.
